Hypnosis is a focused state of awareness that allows the “bypass of the critical factor”. It is a naturally occurring state that all of us has experienced many times: when you watch a movie or a book and you are so absorbed in them that you lose track of time. You might feel strong emotions even though you know that it is pure fiction. The thoughts experienced during the movie can create physiological changes: you might shed some tears if you are deeply moved.

Hypnosis allows you to engage with your subconscious mind to bring about the changes that you need. You might be aware of limiting beliefs and burdensome behaviours that you need to change and yet you might find it difficult to make the change. With self hypnosis, you will be able to kick-start new and useful beliefs that will lead to the right behaviours which then bring about the desired actions and outcomes.

There is no such thing as feeling hypnotized. You did not feel that different when reading a book or watching a movie. Hypnosis can be a very relaxing and deeply enjoyable state of mind. We are often asked this question. The reason is that most people will associate hypnosis with sleep. The word hypnosis comes from the Greek “hypnosis” which means sleep. The person who coined the word hypnosis, Dr Braid, mistook deep relaxation with sleep. If you think about the many times you were hypnotized (in front of a movie, while reading a book or driving…), you were far more being asleep. It depends. Some people will see changes within the first few days, other might take a bit longer. In any case, we strongly recommend that you keep listening to the audios for 4 weeks (28 days) so that the changes are firmly embedded. You should never listen to any hypnosis audios when operating heavy machinery, while driving, or when engaging in any action that require your conscious attention. For your safety, you should never use hypnosis audios when your attention is required.

You can use more than one self-hypnosis audios when the two contribute to the same goal, for instance getting slimmer and exercising more. It is advisable to keep the maximum number of audios to two.

Remember a time when you had to learn skills. If you were to learn too many skills, you might have felt overwhelmed and in the medium and long-term, your recollection of these skills were more likely to be disappointing. But if you first mastered one skill, then learning the second skill gets much easier and you might even be able to improve on the techniques used in the second skills set. Our programs work in the same way.

It can happen, you can still go on listening to the audio the next day but it makes the program less effective. Repetition is key. You can also start the day count from the day after you forgot to listen to an audio.

We advise you not to sleep when listening to a recording and to choose instead a place and time that you do not associate with sleep (for instance, listen in a comfortable chair or a recliner, away from your bed).

Do not worry if you happen to fall asleep. The subconscious mind will have listened to the tape. But you should strive to find a routine that does not allow you to sleep. As suggested earlier you can move to a chair or you can choose a different time during the day when you are less likely to fall asleep. Your sleep is vital and you should make sure that nothings interacts with it.

Yes it makes a difference. With the headphones, you will benefit from our stereo recordings, which allow you to stay more focused. But you can also use speakers, as long as you are in a quiet and distraction-free place.
