Overcoming Nerve Pain with Self Hypnosis Audios

A sizzling spine and tingling toes might sound like the start of a romance novel, but for millions around the globe, they can be signs of something far more sinister: neuropathic pain. Neuropathic pain is associated with neuropathy, a common nerve problem.

When nerves become damaged, they are no longer able to do their jobs properly. These small, thin fibers carry messages to and from the brain and the rest of the body. The large nerves carry messages to and from the muscles while the small nerves transmit sensory messages and control involuntary functions, such as blood pressure. Neuropathy can cause symptoms in the affected area, or it can be widespread. The pain can be severe and chronic. Self hypnosis for neuropathy can help you stop the pain and get back to loving life.

Symptoms of Neuropathy

Neuropathy is often characterized by:

• Tingling
• Weakness
• Muscle twitching
• Vibrating sensations
• Reduced feeling
• Burning pain
• Chronic itch

The pain can be mild and irritating, or it can be severe enough to disrupt your life. Self hypnosis for neuropathic pain relief can help calm the burning and stinging so that you can back to doing all the things you love.

Self Hypnosis for Pain Relief

Neuropathic pain can be notoriously difficult to manage. Most available treatments are designed to prevent further problems and protect your health, but they do little to ease the pain. Some, such as exercise, can trigger the release of natural painkillers. Self hypnosis for neuropathic pain also helps release natural painkillers while tapping into your brain’s healing powers.

Also known as hypnotic analgesia, self hypnosis for pain relief has been used to treat a variety of pain conditions ranging from TMJ disorders and back pain to arthritis and cancer pain. Studies have shown that hypnosis can provide significant relief to those who suffer from chronic pain disorders. Self hypnosis for pain relief puts the power of healing in your hands.

One review found that hypnosis for chronic pain could be more effective on average for some types of pain than other treatments such as physical therapy. Even better, the results can be maintained for months. While researchers do not yet fully understand the mechanism of action underlying the analgesic effects of self-hypnosis for neuropathic pain, they have found that hypnosis offers serious benefits for chronic pain patients, including:

• Better sleep
• Less anxiety
• Improved quality of life

Hypnosis is also being studied for its benefits in treating neuropathy, and the results have been promising.

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of focused awareness that allows you to change the perception of pain. Did you know that many medical associations approve of hypnosis and that many operating theatres at leading European hospitals use hypnosis to improve patient care?

Hypnosis is also the set of methods used to facilitate hypnotherapy, the oldest form of Western therapy that bridges the mind and body.

Neuropathic Pain and the Power of Hypnosis

One study focused on virtual reality hypnosis, which combined an immersive virtual reality experience with computer-generated hypnosis. The study participant was evaluated periodically to determine pain intensity and unpleasantness before, during and after each hypnosis session. Immediately after treatment, the participant experienced a 36 percent reduction in pain intensity and a 33 percent reduction in pain unpleasantness. Throughout the study, the patient experienced no pain for nearly 4 hours and reduced pain for more than 12 hours after each hypnosis session.

Another study, which focused on HIV+ patients suffering from nerve pain, a common complication of HIV. The study found that hypnosis could reduce their pain dramatically. More than 70 percent of study participants had improved pain scores, and of those, the average reduction of pain was 44 percent.

If you are suffering from chronic pain or neuropathic pain, the key to healing might already be in your mind. An increasing number of studies are finding that hypnosis can offer real pain relief and a clinically significant reduction in baseline pain with time and continued practice. UpNow’s self hypnosis for neuropathy works by helping you achieve a deep state of relaxation.
